The real relevance here is GSP had gone 30 rounds without losing a single round on a judge’s scorecard, but at UFC 129, according to two judges, the champion lost two rounds during the fight.

The final scorecard comes courtesy of the Ontario Athletics Commission.

Looking over the scorecard, judges Nelson Hamilton and Richard Bertrand scored rounds four and five for the challenger, Shields, while judge Doug Crosby scored all five rounds for St-Pierre.

St. Pierre, Shields

I have NO idea how they scored those rounds to Shields.

Jack Skellington -  I have NO idea how they scored those rounds to Shields.

 Neither do I.

There is no feasible argument for Jake Shields winning round 4 of that fight. Phone Post

LOL @ two judges scoring ANY rounds for Shields.

i love that winning a round against GSP is now a triumph or news worthy.

Kbox - why dont more fighters jab n jog then if its so undefeatable
It is defeatable. Hendo, Wand, Evans and (arguably) Hammil have already defeated it.

Jab n Jog is definately defeatable. Josh was fighting with one eye for 4 rounds of his fight, so it was tough for him to land anything. Also he's not known as a great striker.

Jake isn't a good striker at all, so it's understandable he wouldn't be able to do much to GSP besides poke him.

Jab n jog wouldn't work against Nick.

I look at this score sheet and I think to myself that even an 8 year old with ADHD could be a judge for The UFC.

These should be cause for getting fired.  Retarded judges.

Legit lol @ duckhuntgangsta. Phone Post

Doesn't mean much. Does anyone doubt how dominant GSP's win would have been if Shields hadn't put his fingers in GSP's eyes? Phone Post

Can you imagine if Jake won a split decision?

Illmatic1492 - Shields clearly won that two rounds, and arguably won a third round. If you ask me, Jake got robbed. Oh well, just a matter of time before Nick Diaz takes Greasey's belt.
Please enlighten me. Other than rounds four and five, which round did Shields arguably win?.

GodSaveTheQueen -  Also, under Pride rules, definite win for Jake.
Under both the Unified and Pride rules, if applied flawlessly (impossible to do), GSP wins by DQ in the third round.

Mix6APlix - Yellow has it right

Tad Ghostal - Can you imagine if Jake won a split decision?
Nope, because I enjoy watching/training in the sport. If that happened I would have had to take up figure skating....the ghey kind......not that there's anything wrong with that....

no homo

Lol at jab and jog. Did he jab and jog against fitch? Alves? Hardy? Penn? It was his gameplan for this fight. I bet against nick he would have him on his back in .002 seconds and GNP him into Bolivian. Phone Post

I can't believe that MMA judging is still not far enough removed from boxing that there are still rows for 12 rounds.

ugh.
