The real relevance here is GSP had gone 30 rounds without losing a single round on a judge’s scorecard, but at UFC 129, according to two judges, the champion lost two rounds during the fight.
The final scorecard comes courtesy of the Ontario Athletics Commission.
Looking over the scorecard, judges Nelson Hamilton and Richard Bertrand scored rounds four and five for the challenger, Shields, while judge Doug Crosby scored all five rounds for St-Pierre.
Jab n Jog is definately defeatable. Josh was fighting with one eye for 4 rounds of his fight, so it was tough for him to land anything. Also he's not known as a great striker.
Jake isn't a good striker at all, so it's understandable he wouldn't be able to do much to GSP besides poke him.
Illmatic1492 - Shields clearly won that two rounds, and arguably won a third round. If you ask me, Jake got robbed. Oh well, just a matter of time before Nick Diaz takes Greasey's belt.
Please enlighten me. Other than rounds four and five, which round did Shields arguably win?.
Tad Ghostal - Can you imagine if Jake won a split decision?
Nope, because I enjoy watching/training in the sport. If that happened I would have had to take up figure skating....the ghey kind......not that there's anything wrong with that....
Lol at jab and jog. Did he jab and jog against fitch? Alves? Hardy? Penn? It was his gameplan for this fight. I bet against nick he would have him on his back in .002 seconds and GNP him into Bolivian.
