What was the deal with him last night? He was so out of it going into the 5th round. He thought the fight was over after 4 rounds. You can here the audio on the PPV broadcast.
A) is he just getting to big for WW? Is the cut for him really that bad now?
B) was it just a bad night? He had problems taking Diaz to the ground after the second round.
I was surprised at how weak he became last night durning the fight. But then to hear that going into the fifth from him and his corner baffled me. I never thought he would gas that much.
Anyone else catch that on the PPV?
what did he and his corner say?
Halligalli - what did he and his corner say?
He thought it was done after the fourth. His corner told him no he had one more round. But him asking/not knowing was what was crazy to me.
Allen Hood - Ya It was odd no one is responding because this is a one in a million thread topic today man. G'day.

its easier to take down a guy whos moving forward towards u, nick was moving more backward when his takedown defense was working
...you can HERE the audio huh?....

hear the audio. Is that better for you?
I think the cut might have been bad this time because he was still doing media the day/night before the fight... I I do not think the ufc picked the right venue for this fight due to how much media gsp gets at home... They just don't leave him alone
Also gsp looked noticeably larger than nick.. I'd say an easy 25 pounds. And it was extremely noticeable when nick was going for subs.
I thought when I seen cote at 170 that it was a sign that gsp is going to mw, and seeing g how big he was last night... I think it's happening

I'm not man it's easy as fuck to find this topic ...
I wanted to hear something about this specific topic. It was interesting and I can't search for that topic or posts on the iPhone. If I could I wouldn't bother with the OP.
If the cut is that bad for him because he's put on so much muscle, could a super fight be coming up? He didn't look like himself and with those specific comments out of the corner, I wanted to know what people thought.
They both looked tired.
If you noticed, Diaz sorta gave up around R4 too.

I'm thinking a move up is coming. I'm sure GSP is use to the media. He's had so many big fights already. Maybe Nick got in his head a little bit too, which put a lot of media pressure on him. Most of his opponents haven't done that. So that may have been new to him.
I mean, just speculating like everyone else, but I think Diaz got into his head and GSP had an emotional adrenaline dump.
I wondered if he wasn't carrying too much mass on his frame to have the type of cardio he used to. Maybe as others have suggested it's the larger weight cut due to the increased mass that's the problem and not so much carrying the increased mass in the fight. Maybe it's some of both? Either way, I think it might be the price he's paying for building his body up to fight Anderson at 185. Hopefully it doesn't cost him vs. Hendricks. I'd like to see him finish what he's set out to do at WW and then take his shot at Anderson.
