The tournament will be held on Sunday January 23rd, 2005 at Turner Fenton High School in Mississauga. There will be gi and no-gi divisions.
Gi divisions will consist of 2 skill levels equal for men and women-beginner (0-1.5 years experience) and advanced (1.5+ years experience)
Weight classes (Men)-58kg, 63, 68, 74, 81, 90, 102, 102+. (127.5lbs, 138.5, 149.5, 163, 178, 198, 225, 225+) (Women)-Day of pooled weights. Gi divisions will be single elimination.
No-gi divisions will consist of 3 skill divisions equal for men and women-beginner(0-1 years experience), intermediate (1-3 years experience) and advanced (3+ years experience)
Weight classes (Men)-58kg, 63, 68, 74, 81, 90, 102, 102+ (127.5lbs, 138.5, 149.5, 163, 178, 198, 225, 225+) (Women)-Day of pooled weights. No-gi divisions will be double elimination.
Pre-registration: 1 event = $35.00 2 events= $50.00
Walk in Registration: 1 event = $50.00 2 events= $65.00
Awards: Bronze and silver = medals, winners will receive a championship sculpture.
Gi will be the same as the mundial brasilian jiu-jitsu point system and No-gi will be the same as abu-dhabi point system. Time system will be a one 5 minute round, with 2 minutes for injury/blood time.
-Weigh-ins 8:00 to 8:45am-late arrivals will NOT be admitted.
-Coaches meeting 9:00am
-Gi division 9:30am-12:00pm
-No gi division 12:00-5:30pm
Protests: $50.00 per protest-only with video recording of entire match -Protests must be filled within five minutes after completion of match. -Match is rescored by protest committee (which I will be part of). -Money will only be refunded if the call is overturned.
Concessions will be available all day + Pro Shop and equipment sales also-(Wrestling gear, MMA equipment etc...)
