Sotiropoulos' guard passing is very, very good. I trained with him once in Vegas at Drysdale's before I knew who he was, I was about 210 lb and a purple belt at the time and I couldn't understand why this little guy was passing my guard like it didn't exist, lol.

Absolutely love that scissor pass - the feeling of landing that flush, right into side control tight is an extra special one to nail.
When playing around its fun to drop into negative from standing in someones de la riva like that too - the key is to keep their hand on whichever side you cross over to out of the picture. and then trying to secure with an under-hook on that arm.
The one from standing lands you more in reverse side-control, rather than the straight on one from the way he does it here though.
