And having an awesome time doing it too!

No - but I will soon be debuting for a site that does!
You look nervous or something.
Welcome to Bleacher Report, Anthony!
I'm a Featured Columnist at B/R and I can say that they do pay the top writers on the site (myself being one of them)... I am also being flown to the Fedor / Hendo fight, where I will be a credentialed media member. This will be the first major event I have covered live.
It's a really cool site. Brian Oswald, who runs the section, has done an amazing job of taking it from the dumps and putting together a respectable team.
Yes, there are still some clowns that run down the quality of the site, but no other website does as much unique content as Bleacher Report when it comes to MMA. With that, there's always going to be some variance in quality from writer to writer.
I do enjoy my time there, though, and look forward to seeing what it brings me in the future.
All the best and I look forward to reading your take on events.
Illmatic1492 - Bleacher report does pay like $50 a week if you become a feature columnist.
That's not true. There's no set amount, and it's not guaranteed even if you become a Featured Columnist. There are some writers who are on contracts, but the majority of writers are paid mainly for event coverage. So, pre-fight predictions, post-fight reactions, results, etc.
None of us are making enough for this to be our full-time job, but we do it because we enjoy it. The supplemental income is nice, too.
GodSaveTheQueen - Bleacher Report is worse than MMA Bay. Seriously.
Hey, I happen to think that we do a pretty damn good job. :)

Looks like Creed from The Office.
^^^my thoughts exactly!!
GodSaveTheQueen -Actually, from what I understand, it's setup so that each slideshow article only registers as one "page" still. That could be wrong, but that's kind of the understanding that I had.Kliquid -GodSaveTheQueen - Bleacher Report is worse than MMA Bay. Seriously.
Hey, I happen to think that we do a pretty damn good job. :)
The other day I saw an article on BR about the 100 biggest UFC stars ever or some such shit. Every one of the 100 entries was listed on a separate page. To get to the end of the article I was expected to click through 100 pages just so BR could get more page views. Amateur hour. I have never read a good BR article. It seems as though they let any retard with a keyboard and who's seen a UFC PPV once in their life can get something published.
And there is definitely a process to being allowed to write on Bleacher Report now. Before I joined, apparently they did allow "any retard with a keyboard" (LoL) write whatever he or she wanted. This caused a lot of problems, obviously. Tons of trolls, people who would just post RIDICULOUS things, etc.
But I think that the site has really come along, specifically in 2011. The new team working on news has done a great job of getting out unique content surrounding breaking news in the MMA world, we now have Joshua Carey from MMA Junkie leading the interviews team, we're getting more involved directly with the UFC. A new partnership with MMA Fighting also began today (you'll see Bleacher Report articles linked to on MMA Fighting articles).
As for never reading anything that's good, I'm sorry that you feel that way. I know I'm not a world class writer or anything. In fact, I've only been writing for about six months. But I do think that I have come a long way in that time and I'm really enjoying that I get paid to write about mixed martial arts. There aren't many people that can say that.
Like I said, I know I'm not a world class writer and I never went to a day of journalism school or even took a journalism class, but since you seem to be a pretty thoughtful person, I was hoping that maybe you could give me some feedback on my most recent article:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/720823-st-pierre-vs-diaz-at-ufc-137-its-time-to-unify-the-welterweight-titles
I do want to become a better writer and since you said you've never read anything on the site that is actually good, I would just hope that maybe you could give me some tips. I also posted it in another thread, but that was more to get feedback on the actual topic versus my writing.
Thanks for your support everybody.
I didn't think it was even possible for a Rashad fan to have so much support around here! LOL
I've also made quite a few friends since I started writing for B/R - including Brian Oswald; indeed, I've found out Brian lives close by and I look forward to getting together with him - quite possibly for a suitable event. Like UFC 133?
And that photo of me is like 4 years old. I'll be updating it, hopefully within the next few days.
I have also just submitted my first article for Yahoo Sports; but it is not about MMA, but rather the NFL - and in it, I debunk the myth that the 18-game schedule must lead to an increase in injuries to players.
LOL, asshole bleacher report is dogshit and the idea that Kliquid and his hideously stupid "articles" represent the "top" writers there only serves to reinforce that fact. This is the same guy who had to look up Paulson on wikipedia, copied down that he was a "striking coach," dissed his abilities and then got all butthurt and defensive when people pointed out his total lack of MMA knowledge or analytical insight
These sites must be desperate for content. Desperate

Lorenzo Luciano - No offense but you look like a serious pedo in that pic. It's actually highly disturbing.
babybusters.org profile link doesn't help either, lol

Nothing against TS but Bleacher Report sucks cock.

Is this really your life?
Bleacher Report is one of the top SPORTS websites in the world. Not just MMA. They do more unique content than any sports website, to my knowledge. They're not "desperate for content" - if anything, they have too much content and much of it gets missed for that reason, as only a certain number of articles can really be featured at one time.
But yeah, keep on trollin', homie.

Well maybe that's why I'm changing it.

WTF does that even mean? lol. Slow down Descartes, you're leaving the rest of us behind

LOL yeah, the problem is that there are too many shit articles there, maybe that's a side effect of staffing a site with morons
But yeah, keep on trollin', homie.
You're the guy who comes on here trying to get people to read and respond to what you admit are "exaggerated" statements, who's the troll? I know who Erik Paulson is, respect his coaching abilities and don't write stupid crap about how Lesnar will suck because Black House isn't coaching his team (lol), so - again - who's the "troll" here?
What am I, trolling with facts? har
Kliquid and Anthony congrats on the job
But
you should know better than announce this to the ug,
even if there were no faults with bleacher report there would be someone who would shred you, Like wolves i say
The Garv and John Joe hold their own, but for the most past not too many journalists (or radio hosts) get in back and forth conversations with the ug, (Which is probably for a good reason)
Good luck in your endeavor gentlemen,
