Looks like an M4 with a few attachments. As for why they would have one, it's not exactly odd given that their neck of the woods has been plagued by war since forever and those particular rifles have been over there for a decade in a half.

But I think the answer we're looking for is that Obama and Hilldawg took a CIA- sponsored sabbatical and placed it directly into the terrorist's hands along with a friendship bracelet.

You're missing the point. Those rifles have been in use over there for that long, I have no way to discern how old that rifle is. The fact that ISIS was extremely well funded for a while there with the oil and banks they seized means they could have imported tons of new weapons from almost anywhere.

I'm not sure why you think it's even noteworthy, lol.

And yes, weapons we provided have made it into ISIS hands after various forces were toppled, changed allegiance, or ran out of money. This is not really a secret.

That's not a dick comment. I'm genuinely asking. Why wouldn't they want a powerful assault rifle?
An AR is not an assault rifle by definition, assault rifles have selective firing, an AR is semi auto unless customized.
