Seems to be many different terms used in referring to a facility to train, but which one works with what?

MMA Training....Gym?

BJJ.....Academy?


Studio.....Karate?


Or does it matter?

MECCA is "the gym" when I'm talking to people about my own training, or "academy" if it's a more formal discussion about Mark's instruction, the team, etc.

BJMUTA, the place I train in California, is always "the gym".

studio=yoga

gym=weights, MMA

academy=BJJ only, MT only, TMA only
