Had some good news a few days ago

So I've been out with a pretty bad knee injury for the past 6 weeks. I went to see the specialist last week and he gave me some really good news. So over the past 6 weeks I have been up in the air about getting surgery on my knee. I had completely torn my LCL and damaged my PCL but that wasn't torn.

I was keen on getting the surgery at first, until I heard what an LCL repair requires. My doctor thought because of the way the LCL is sitting if I put it in a brace for 6 weeks and lock it in from any movement it might just reattach and heal on it own. And sure enough 6-7 weeks later I went to see him he did his knee stability tests and my knee has stopped gliding in and out and it as almost as tight as my good knee.

Now I've started rehab and it's getting better so much quicker every day. Once I've done a few more weeks of rehab I should be able to return to the mat and start rolling again, hopefully with full range of movement by then.

I just got to get another MRI to confirm its all good down in my knee. So happy of this outcome! It's been such a tough 6-7 weeks being uncertain about my recovery and if I'm going to have to go through that surgery and the thought of me wasting all that time hoping for the best. Phone Post 3.0
