Just got home from a family dinner and my uncle from out of town brought a turkey. It was already pre shredded and sitting in a giant cooker of juices. I tried it and it was best I’ve ever had. That’s the only acceptable way to cook these birds imo now.
He said he baked it, shredded it and then put it all back in the broth with a little pineapple juice. Similar to pulled pork

Ya sounds like it would work, problem with turkey is always lack of moisture.
I am from deep country ham territory… it’s fine on a biscuit, but not for Thanksgiving.
