Fitch, Alves, Koscheck, Penn,Hughes, Serra.
One thing these men all have in common: They would be favored on paper to convincingly beat Dan Hardy. They have all been not just beaten but utterly outclassed in their last fights against GSP.
Outside of George's mythical "suspect chin"...how does Hardy win?
The only documented KO power Hardy has shown was against Markham and he has a similar finishing rate to GSP while fighting people not nearly as good.
As for the "suspect chin"...GSP caught a flush Serra power shot behind the ear, survived, continued to take more undefended shots and then still maintained the presence of mind to tap to strikes. He wasn't TKO'd...he wasn't KO'd...he ate a barrage from a guy with some of the heaviest hands in the division and still wasn't put out.
Serra has as much power as Hardy does, even though he's not as dynamic a striker. That being said George's technical striking is still superior to Hardy's.
The real selling point of this card is Mir/Carwin.
