Has BLM.....?

...ever championed a cause or individual where their claims and subsequent rhetoric filled protests were true?

Mike Brown, Alton Sterling, Castile, etc, etc.

I'm just curious if BLM had embraced a narrative that isn't devisive bullshit.

It amazes me that a group can garner presidential support and reverence and consistency be.....

Wrong. Phone Post 3.0

I would think so, but to be honest, after talking to a BLM protestor in real life and being somewhat stunned by the absolute nonsense and unreasonable rhetoric coming out of the person,  I scoured the internet for reasonable members of the movement.

Gotta say it was extremely thin.  A shitload of bad statistics, a shitload of bad reasoning, and a heaping pile of conspiracy theories so big, even Alex Jones would giggle at it.

Seriously, the majority of the movement seems to me to be conspiracy theorists.

There's plenty of instances where they could push the 'idea' of black lives matter. But it's mostly black on black, which apparently doesn't apply to that idea. It only matters when the white man is responsible for any death of a person of color. Phone Post 3.0

Interesting ^^^^^^^

Yeah, that's been my observation as well.

I just have a hard time reconciling the support they've gotten with what I've perceived as one failed pursuit after another.

How is this possible?

If the things they are protesting are not real things, then there is far less to bitch about than IS being bitched about, right? Phone Post 3.0

They will protest for someone who is resisting arrest and ends up getting shot. But how about that 9 year old girl from Ferguson who was in her bedroom who caught stray bullets in a drive by? Obama, sharpton, and BLM avoided backing that. Shit like that loses people taking them seriously. Phone Post 3.0

^^

Unfortunately they ARE being taken seriously.

I'm not saying that BLM specifically requested the killing of cops but I am saying that the attitudes they have and foster give implied consent for the shit we're seeing. Phone Post 3.0

No, but they been gett'n away with faking shit up. Phone Post 3.0

One of the mods posted a bunch of quotes from Twitter of the BLM leaders and they supported and phrased 'give me the courage not to kill white cops today' and more along those lines. Phone Post 3.0

Not defending some of there actions but becuase they do not protest the things you want them to it invalidates them? Here just so you know a few times they are correct.  Also the founders of BLM founded it a a group to protest and change the treatment of black by police not other things.  I AGREE the other things are more important and wish they or other groups did this.  Again I do not agree with a lot of there things just pointing out times they were right

The shooting of Eric Courtney Harris occurred on April 2, 2015, where 44-year-old Eric Courtney Harris was fatally shot during an undercover sting in Tulsa, Oklahoma[1] as Harris ran from authorities unarmed.[2][3][4] While Harris was being subdued, Tulsa County Reserve Deputy Robert Charles "Bob" Bates, 73, confused his personal weapon, a Smith & Wesson .357 revolver, for a Model X26 Taser.[5] Bates shot Harris in the back when he was on the ground. According to the Tulsa County Sheriff's office, he immediately said afterwards, "Oh, I shot him! I'm sorry."[6] Bates was found guilty of manslaughter.

The shooting of Walter Scott occurred on April 4, 2015, in North Charleston, South Carolina, following a daytimetraffic stop for a non-functioning brake light. Scott, a black man, was fatally shot by Michael Slager, a white North Charleston police officer. Slager was charged with murder after a video surfaced contradicting his police report. The video showed him shooting the unarmed Scott from behind while Scott was fleeing.

In June 2015, a South Carolina grand jury indicted Slager on a charge of murder. He was released on bond in January 2016 and a trial is scheduled to begin in October 2016. In May 2016, Slager was indicted on federal charges including violation of Scott's civil rights and obstruction of justice.

On July 19, 2015, in Cincinnati, OhioSamuel DuBose, an unarmed black man, was fatally shot by Ray Tensing, a white University of Cincinnati police officer, during a traffic stop for a missing front license plate. Tensing fired after DuBose started his car. Tensing stated that DuBose had begun to drive off and that he was being dragged because his arm was caught in the car. Prosecutors alleged that footage from Tensing's bodycam showed that he was not dragged and a grand jury indicted him on charges of murder and voluntary manslaughter. He was then fired from the police department. He was released on bond and a trial is scheduled to begin in October 2016.

Many of the deaths they protest are justified, but many aren't.

Samuel Dubose was mentioned above.

Eric Garner was killed because officers refused to listen when he said he was having trouble breathing. Turns out he wasn't bullshitting. He was being arrested for selling single cigarettes.

Freddie Gray was arrested for having a switchblade. The cops tossed him in the paddy wagon where he fell into a coma and later died. The cops claimed they Dindu Nuffin, but the medical exam showed he had spinal injuries sustained during transport.

To my understanding and I might be wrong but all the officers in the Freddy Grey case were either not indicted or found not guilty, while on paid leave......Ya I can see people being a little pissed about this.

Freddie Grey??? You got all your facts from BLM nutjobs didn't you?

When it came to research you dindu nuffin. Phone Post 3.0

Hang on why is it acceptable to use terms like "Paddy Wagon", highly offensive to Irish people, but hey don't use some words beginning with N because that is racist.

As an Irish person myself, I don't find Paddy Wagon offensive. I find it hilarious. I'm sure some of my ancestors may have felt differently, but since I have never been discriminated against due to my Irish heritage, it doesn't bother me in the least.

I'll admit I am not an expert on the case. Feel free to enlighten me.

It's the art of perpetual victimhood. Phone Post 3.0

You want to stop the problem? Then actually talk about the problem. This is a anti white people group. How many times have we all seen signs that say kill white cops? Yes some black cops have sadly been killed by these animals but the general desire from their signs and talk is kill WHITE cops. Just listen to what these animals say during their riots. It is how bad black people have it and white privilege bullcrap.

The real problem is far to many people are afraid to speak the truth because they are afraid to be called a racist by someone that hates them anyways. Grow some balls people.

Black people blame drug laws, slavery, or whatever in America for their animal behavior but how does that explain the rest of the world? Just look at Sweden of all places who is now is the rape capital of the west thanks to all the African refugees. Let me gues Sweden is also to blame for American drug laws or American slavery? Name me one area that is mainly black that is some haven for people wanting to go? There is none, every worst area in America for example is mainly a black area.

I watched both videos of Walter Scott and Samuel Dubose both of them men would be alive if they complied. Both were in the wrong both were probably going to end up going to jail but they decided to not comply Samuel Dubose figured he would just drive away from the traffic stop and Walter Scott figured he would just run away from the traffic stop comply and you're alive bottom line. Phone Post 3.0

Neither man deserved to die however they're ignorant actions cost them their lives in my opinion. Unfortunately you cannot just drive away from a traffic stop and when you get out of a car and run normally the officers is probably going to chase you stop doing stupid s*** and you would be alive that's the bottom line.
