Has M1 cost Fedor millions?

How much could he have earned with a 10% stake in M1?

He could have fought both Timmy and AA in the UFC.

Then a mega $$$$ earning series with Randy.

And another mega $$$$ earning series with Lesnar.

On a sidenote, SF would still be alive and well as they would not of signed the contract with M1 which led them to sell to the UFC.

M1 = BUNCH OF CUNTS!

Hell no, say what you want about Fedor's management and his occasionally wacky-appearing career decisions, but the man'll retire well off enough to last him and his family the rest of their days.

It's the very REASON he's been such a pain to work with.

Yes, absolutely. I bet they take so much money from him as well. Fedor has got totally screwed.

MonsterBalls - I think they have made Fedor a very wealthy man. Fedor has been paid better than any other HW in MMA history.

No, Lesner has earned more.

LOL @ the people who think Fedor had no say in his career.  Fedor screwed Fedor.

I see M1 as a way for Vlad to get more money for himself. A lot of money is "invested" in M1, instead of going straight to Fedor. I think it would have been better if Fedor would have gotten the money directly. Does he really think he will be able to retire on income from M1?

Bullshit. You have no way of knowing this.

That Fedor is a millionaire?

Call me crazy but...

Fedor is a part of his own management team and they've always gotten the most reward vs. the least risk in his career.  He's done very well for himself in his MMA career.

investing in M1 is the greatest reward and lowest risk?! lol. sorry, but if somebody paid me a few hundred thousand, I wouldnt invest a penny of it in M1. Would you really want M1 as your 401k retirement plan? M1 has taken Fedor for a ride. It is easy to see. All that money he put into M1 will disappear when M1 folds.

You don't know how much money Fedor has in his bank account. Fedor probably doesn't even know. Only Vlad does.

You really take Fedor for quite the rube, eh?

I'm saying in terms of contracts for Fedor's fighting.  The Pride and Affliction deals were great for him, better than the UFC deals, because otherwise he'd have taken the UFC deal.

The UFC is running a business, but so are the fighters.  Fans like to see fighters fighting for honor, fighting the best, and not worrying about how they are being paid.  But that's cheating themselves, because the orgs are about the bottom line.

Look at the enormous enterouge surrounding Fedor and M1... who do you think is paying for all that?

To give you an idea, Jerry Millen is saying they owe him 6 figures... now what the fuck was Jerry Millen doing? he wasnt doing shit.

Imagine what the other guys are getting.

M1 is also in deep debt... who's door do you think they'll be knocking on for payment? Fedor.

Here's a clear indicator of Fedor's situation:

He says he's gonna retire after the big foot fight... immediately Vadim says he's not? why do you think that is? whoever they owe money to would be barging down their door with ak47's - that's who.

So what happens? Fedor changes his tune and fights.

They are gonna ride that horse into the grave.

I disagree. Fedor was the best until 2009, so he should have made the most money. If he signed with the UFC, I think Dana would have promoted the heck out of him and he would have made more on endorsements.

The point is like Garv said though - most gain, least reward.

Fedor DIDN'T have to fight the best for the last few years and STILL made 7-figures multiple times. What's the issue for him there?

Fedor's never been a legacy-inspired fighter.

But here's the thing: how much of that money actually went to Fedor? Not to Vlad, M1, or some other bullshit, how much went directly to Fedor? We know what his purse is but how much is he actually keeping? Nowhere near all of it.

Fedor allows this to happen... Just like Overeem allows others to take his pay check also. Its there choice.

Hell no.

M1 has been great for Fedor. Remember, the whole reason he wasn't signed by the UFC was supposidely ridiculous contract demands...M1 makes sure Fedor gets contracts that are great for him.

Plus M1 is an investment. Income from fighting is temporary. By investing in M1, if they become successful, it will provide him with steady income after his fighting career is over. It's like Chuck Liddel retireing to take up a job at the UFC. Fedor has kids, he needs something that can provide for them in the future.
