Has Sonnen put to much pressure on himself? He has done a great job building up this fight, but now he has to live up to everything he has said. Will this effect him when he finally gets in there to fight Anderson?

I kind of felt like the shit hit the fan during the staredown at the press conference yesterday.
Chael as of Tuesday had not even watched tape on Silva. He did a great job at selling this fight. Silva is not a draw and can not promote due to his unwillingness to, someone had to and he did it in a way that no one else has before when facing Silva.. trash talked him up and down. But now he has to face him.. and "face the music"
I would love to see Sonnen pull the upset, but it's just so unlikely to happen. I feel Sonnen has put immense pressure on himself and I think of the two fighters he is the one feeling the pressure far more.

No I think even if he loses his stock would have still risen overall from being so hilarious in the build up.

At the weigh in the whole standing with his shoulder to Anderson was a sign of fear on some level.
Ever see two dogs who are pissed at each other? Lots of times the more dominant dog will just be pressed up against the other one, growling and shit. The 'weaker' dog will still have his lips curled, etc...but is ultimately acknowledging the other dogs dominance and looking the other direction.

That's how I felt when I read your post.
PRIDE had real champions who actually FOUGHT ie Wanderlei,Shogun,Fedor,Gomi etc.. whereas UFC is biased towards LNP "fighters" like GSP,KOS,FITCH etc..
personally i prefer to watch REAL fighters!!!!!!
