it was nice to meet you in person james. you and tommy both did a really good job. i thought the tournament was well run and everyone seemed to have a good time. there was a lot of talent out there too. i saw several people with video cameras so hopefully someone caught your matches. i'll be getting in touch with you once i get back to louisiana re: fighting down there. i'd like to get tom down as well.

we got some footage of our guys and some other matches.

What were you wearing and I'll see if you are on any of the tape.

We got about 1.5 hrs of footage

thanks man

good match brandon. that was a good transition from triangle to armbar (btw, the arm is fine even though there was the nasty pop). i've been going to school at UT but haven't been training since i moved up here (from louisiana). i wanted to get a tournament in for fun and get back into the swing of things. you and your team looked good. btw, are you still wanting to fight nhb? i haven't seen your name in a while, but i know you've had a lot of fights. i'll be moving back to louisiana in may and i'm gonna be doing some matchmaking. there are several good 145lbers down there and if you're interested, i'd like to see about getting you down for a fight. david w.

I am looking for a picture from the tourney!

Did anyone snap a shot or a tape of the last ten seconds in the middleweight final when John Hosford was hanging upside down on his opponents back and trying to choke as time ran out?

My camera battery was dead at that point. Several people were taking photos and I would love to get that one.

Thanks
Mike Hosford

Choke,

THe rules were funky but thats what made it fun IMHO. No stalling just balls to the wall scrambles for submission

DNWSR,

I took some time off from MMA to focus on Sport BJJ.Let me know what you have got coming up and I am sure we can work something out. I'd love to get back in the ring soon.EMAIL me at Bledsoe74@aol.com

Man I had no idea your arm was trapped like that until I heard the "pop". I'm glad it was ok. I felt very bad thinking I had hurt you

overall.. i thought the tournament was ran rather smoothly.... however, i think it would of been better to let the competitors know appr. how long until their next bout... most of us hung out and cooled off while waiting... and didn't know when to start warming up... luckily there weren't any injuries, but things are not always so fortunate... personally, i thought the no point system in Round 1 is a great idea... however 3 minutes seemed a bit short... and i'm not quite sure the first takedown in the sudden death is a good way to judge a fight...
but all in all... i think all of us had a rather good time... keep up the good work....

Erick is a freak on the mat.I'm just glad he is on our team.

ttt for Dnwsr

i emailed you back brandon.
