Unfortunately some grapplers make decisions not to do certain things during training because they feel like they are being "mean". I'm not talking about bending fingers or pulling hair either, which is obviously not cool. I'm talking about certian decisions that can actually help your game a lot but may seem like they are "dirty" moves.
I personally feel that things like head grinding, chin pressure, shoulder pressure, and the similar are legit options to do in training. You can add these things to your game without being overly aggressive and still have them work well for you.
