<p>Mixed Martial Arts is seeing an explosion of gyms and shows worldwide. For example, Turkey recently held its first MMA event. Unfortunately, the problem of substandard reffing is expanding along with it, as seen in the video below, where the losing player taps to <a href="http://www.muratkazgan.com/" target="_blank">Murat "Lord Pitbull" Kazganat</a>'s Arm Triangle at least 15 times before going unconscious.</p>
It's not like he was like with GNP, or thought someone was out and declared the guy a winner. He didn't even go to pick up a mouthpiece. He was standing over the fighters. One was in a submission hold and the other was tapping repeatedly.
I have to think, the referee doesn't know anything about BJJ, doesn't know what a head/arm choke is, didn't see a reason for someone to tap... and thought the taps were.... soft strikes?
that ref has no business reffing. whether that was intentional or accidental he should never be allowed to officiate an event. he could get somebody killed.
Ray Elbe - Wish my Danger of China ref video made the underground news...someone is gonna end up getting killed in china with The way the promoters are working.
Someone TTT that thread and watch the videos...insane--

ILOVEFIGHTING - If I was the guy tapping I would beat the living shit out of that ref at a later time.
Happened to a friend of mine, tapped out to a RNC but ref claimed he didn't see it. Was clear as day. Even his opponent felt it and was shouting "he's tapping, he's tapping" as did my opponents corner, as did our corner - ref let it go til my buddy was unconscious. The guy he was fighting, the winner, shoved the ref when he waved it off. He is a good guy. When my mate came to, and was checked over by the doc, he immediately went for the ref. Got one punch in before he was pulled away.

i think missing taps like that is just ridiculous, its not exactly an easy thing to miss.
