Yeah Iā€™m not an expert on it, but all the serious swimmers Iā€™ve seen are toned as hell and carry some muscle. Sheā€™s built like a perfume counter girl. Reminds me of the late Stuart Scott, RIP, making an attempt at being an NFL wide receiver. I guess, follow your dreams. Realistic-schmealistic.

A quick google tells me that the last trials in 2021 had (for example) 8 heats of 8 in the womenā€™s 100m butterfly.

So 64 per event?

Does she have any record at all? Did she swim competitively in college? At any age? Has she done swimming since whatever she does now (mma reporter sort of?)?

Top 64 in any country is no joke. Neither is (reverse) plastic surgery to get there.

I hope she has a legit path here and this isnā€™t some way out there ridiculous pipe dream of insanity.

I have to assume sheā€™s sane and this isnā€™t a wild goose chase. But who knows.

I remember a British Olympian swimmer retiring when she was around 22. itā€™s a physically demanding sport like gymnastics, where you have to be in peak shape at a young age. itā€™s not a casual sport where you can compete into your 40s.

Since most of you mouth breathers canā€™t read, Iā€™ll help you out.
She didnā€™t say she wants to qualify for the Olympics, she said she wants to qualify for the Olympic trials. That is a huge difference.
If she was a 2x state champion and nationally ranked swimmer, itā€™s definitely not out-of the question, depending on how long sheā€™s been out of the game.
At the very least, having swam competitively at that level, she will have a better understanding of whether or not thatā€™s possible.
