Helio Dipp now facing Edson Drago

in Jungle Fight 5. Sursa sustained a last min injury (err, OK) and has been replaced by the much larger, and far more dangerous Edson Drago. If you don't know either of these guys now .. you will in the future, as Dipp is a great thai knee striker, and Drago is an all around brute with good ground skills, and a killer instinct when he smells blood.

Great fight, but IMHO Drago might be too big for Dipp... Either way though, this match up is very important in Brazil, and will provide us international fans with a new immediate star, and IMHO the loser will also wind up being a very well known name down the road as well.

Drago by GnP stoppage late in the 1st rd.

I want to give credit to Eduardo Alonso for breaking the news ... I just wanted to pass it along here, on the UG.

ttt

ttt for anyone who cares...lol

Drago KO'd Dipp in a mere .15 secs of the first round .. they said Helio was laid waste to with ease.

IMO Drago is a 230+ lb heavyweight, while Dipp usually goes right around 205 ... so while this was a bit of a size mismatch it's still a win that could land Drago in either Pride, or The UFC in the very near future.

Dipp needs to stick to fighting light heavies ... but, IMO he still has a good future in MMA, he just needs to not accept big, brutal heavyweights [ie: Drago] as last minute opponents from now on... D'OH

Dipp has the Allistair frame going at 205, he is real tall.

Drago was a tough opponen to get stuck with at he last minute.

A shame for Dipp. He has been causing waves in Brazil and buzz that reached the States.

I wonder what the circumstances were surrounding him taking this fight.
