Henderson or Couture?

In your expert opinions who has had the more legendary career up to this point?

im going to pick Henderson and I am going to say Randy does not deserve all the attention he gets

why isnt Dan Captain America?

Why don't you explain why you pick Henderson and why you think Randy doesn't deserve the attention he gets?

Hendo had some nice fights in Pride but was pretty much a mid-carder while Handy has been a main eventer in the UFC for quite a while now. Based on that, and the titles he has won, plus his fanbase, I would have to say Handy easily.

Wow, tough question.

I'm going to say Dan; Olympic medal, UFC champ(albeit somewhat controversial), Rings champ (albeit somewhat controversial, 2X Pride champ. And all his losses are to the best of the best and most of them at higher weights.

JMHO. Both are great imo.

Also, just look at their nicknames; Decision Dan vs. Captain America. It's simple.

I don't think Dan ever won an Olympic medal.

I think Dan is the better fighter (I'd pick Dan in a fight with Couture, I mean) honestly but Couture has had the greater success. Randy is a huge, huge star for the UFC only Tito Chuck and Hughes have fought more times for them. He has the most Title fights in UFC history winning a great deal of them and all of his UFC losses are in title fights as well. I would bet that Randy has made more money and is more famous in addition to being equally decorated if not more so (5x champ in 2 weight classes).

Henderson was poised for mega-stardom when he returned to the UFC. As the sport's first dual title-holder and final champ in two Pride divisions, he was easily marketed...but he lost both unification bouts before anyone really got to know him or respect his talents. Only the MMA hardcore understand just how awesome Henderson could be when he was on his game, even if he had some questionable decision wins in his past.

Randy, on the other hand, has had a number of star-making performances in marquee fights during some of the sport's biggest growth periods. His victories over Chuck and Tito were huge, and his defeat of the unpopular Tim Sylvia restored his star status, overshadowing his losses to Chuck. He was predicted to lose to Gonzaga and absolutely dominated the fight.

Randy is now by far the bigger star, and will likely be remembered as a legend for the sheer number of titles he's won. Though his record isn't the best, most of his losses have been in title fights against top contenders. Though his championship acheivements were undeniable, Henderson missed that window in which he could have emerged as legend.

Randy is too big for Dan but I think pound for pound, Dan is the better fighter.

Randy has been fed undeserving title shots his whole career, dan has more wins and less losses against the same level of competition. The only reason Randy is so popular is because he was a coach on the first TUF. Randy isn't on the same level as chuck and tito as far aspopularity goes. before i started watching mma i knew who chuck liddell, tito ortiz, and royce gracie were. I did not know the name Randy Couture.

Maybe if you started watching mma in the past couple of years. Randy made his name in Randy vs Vitor 1 for the rest of us.

yea no kidding, If you didnt know who Randy was before the TUF, then you are obviously a TuF NOOB

yes i am a TUF NOOB i started really getting into mma after TUF 1 because prior to that i really hadn't been exposed to it. I was 6 when UFC 1 came on. I was 10 when Vitor vs Randy happened. Sorry for being young. Randy owes the UFC more than any other fighter imo.

I agree that Dan takes Randy at 205
