Mega-Legend is going for that belt, regardless of how good or poor you think his chances are.
He's always been a better fighter at LHW than MW, but LHW is stacked wtih contenders (Glover, Gusty, Rashad, Courmier, Phil Davis, just to name a few).
MW seems to be a slightly easier path and one big win in that division could get Dan a title shot. The problem is other that than the Bisping destruction, most of his best fights have not been at this division and he absolutely hates the weight cut.
What division do you think he will be at in 3 months?
Yeah, I don't know if the no TRT will make him more likely to go to MW due to perhaps strength being less of an issue there than at LHW. At the same time his quickness is starting to go, which I think would be less of an issue at LHW, where fighters don't move as fast as MW's.
I disagree, I think the path at LHW is easier. I still think he could beat Hashad, Davis and a few others.
I don't see him getting past Jacare, Machida, Vitor or Mousasi. 185 is a scary division right now, and at this point in his career, it's better for his health and future for him to fight at 205. Makes more sense.

VU for this post. 195 would be a perfect size for a lot of guys around Hendo's size. Get rid of the Hobbits dancing around other Hobbits for 15-25 minute weight classes and instead add classes fans would actually be interested in. What's next, a 100 lb men's weight class?

Agreed. 195 would be a perfect wclass to add. Should LHW stay at @205 or maybe 210?
I don't think there is much question. I think Dan's size is well suited to 185. I don't think he's a tweener let alone a 205 guy, size-wise. It's a testament to how good, tough, and ballsy he is that he's done so well at 205, but I think he's handicapping himself there and would do even better at 185.

I think 185 is his most natural class. He's not that big, 205 is going the Jones/Gus rout, with guys cutting from 220.
At this point of his career, (a lack of) speed is his biggest weakness. He shouldn't go down to 185 where the guys are faster.
Someone like Vitor or Machida is always going to beat him to the punch, they wouldn't get hit with the shot Shogun did.
His true fans after witnessing that performance prior to last 3 seconds would be asking him to retire not keep fighting, but some people just savages, they have the blood lust and care little for the fighters health they cheer on.
Holy shit STFU about the smaller divisions.
