A lot of threads I know on how awesome Dan is..i know. Some of the things I think of as why he's the best ever.
- Possibly the greatest KO in UFC history
- Possibly the greatest fight in UFC history (v Shogun)
- 1st and only to Hold 2 belts at same time (while those killers were in their prime)
- Oldest fighter to fight for UFC gold
- Wins against the elite in 3 different weight classes
- More championship opponent resume than anyone
Even in a UFC run without an actual title (even though he won that last fight)... his impact in the UFC with those memorable fights, KO's, age, etc. will stand alone. Wins and losses don't make the GOAT...Accomplishments do. His are second to none.
Missing UFC Gold kinda sucks but Dan has delivered a wonderful body of work that comfortably sets him apart as an all time great.

When Hendo gets inducted into the UFC HOF, I hope they give him a new "trophy." He came so close to UFC gold but in my opinion, and it rarely gets said and most people don't know, he's already a UFC champ. Yes UFC 17. The man deserves a newly minted UFC belt with the number 17 on it, that's what. Receiving that at the induction ceremony would be awesome.
