That or Twitter shuts off their API access. I know they've got restrictions around essentially recreating their functionality in your own environment, and while I'm sure this pulls in from FB and Instagram it wouldn't totally surprise me to see Twitter do something aggressive.

Guys i know a little here. Let me splain...internet businesses make money two ways primarily. Paid content with fixed overhead. ie itunes, netflix, brazzers. If you have a good product margins Are huge cause overhead cN be pretty low.
The second is click through Afiliate marketing. Every 100 clicks to Felice 10 click an ad. Every 100 ad clicks 10 buy. Its a formula thats almost a science. They are monetizing interaction with low level celebs i.e. Felice, B level actors etc. clicks equal cash. The entire internet is like a big pyramid scheme from a business standpoint. This model is no different. Some sustain. Some are AOL... Phone Post 3.0

I was looking at this earlier today. I'm curious how it worked. Does your social media just forward other posts to here? Is it a whole new social media? Do you have to link to it from existing stuff? I mean.. an extra .15 cents a month would be great! Phone Post 3.0

This! For Sure, this model is not sustainable. Some poor VC group got conned into thinking MMA fans are the perfect demographic to market to...and to do so by stealing traffic through FB and Twitter through their APIs

Thanks decimated.  That thought crossed my mind -- I was literally picturing the tv show Shark Tank in my head, and someone pitching this sqor site to the sharks.

 

 

I guess what I still don't get is how these investers make their money back.  I see people like Moazhino and a few others stating it isn't a sustainable buisness model.  Ok, but surely these "investors" arn't just stupid and blindly throwing money their way.  They had to have been pitched some sort of monotizing method by the site.  My next guess was what Givetofly99 posted:
