Apparently Heath says he tore his mcl in his knee 3 weeks ago so he really couldn't set up kicks . He then says to those who have followed his career, his stance was so funky so his left arm could hang and protect the left knee. He also says the knee prevented him from having any sort of guard on the ground. He also admits to not being used to not being able to throw knees when he would sprawl. It does make sense, heath has never looked like that before. Hopefully he heals well, comes back, and there is a rematch.
call the wambulance, this guy has no class, and is full of excuses, and got owned in the cage
He should quit making excuses, go back to the drawing board and work on his sprawl and ground game
He admitted that it was mostly poor strategy, nerves and ring rust. He actually said that the injury didn't have that much to do with his poor showing. And he's still complaining about his opponent not wanting to fight.
Well he has some major redeeming to do. I am not looking forward to his next fight whatsoever.
Maybe he should be like Ross Pointon and cut to 170?
Drmmr
does ufc punish guys for fighting injured?
Powned
He also had rib void and a tape worm.
Heard he had sex the night before and a previous thread said that was bad to, so he probably had weak legs.
Right on Candy Man!
chuck kicked tito's ass with the same injury-champions don't make
excuses
If you've ever seen the guy fight before, this is very believable. But excuses are just that; Heath got beat by a guy who couldn't finish a sandwich. I hope he strongly re-evaluates his game before his next outing.
Knew this thread was coming...
"does ufc punish guys for fighting injured?"
No, Dana just calls them fucking assholes.
Really Shooter, so please give me your professional assesment
- It was the rules
- It was my knee
-He did not want to fight
-Shity ref, should have stood them up
actually, if you have seen alot of herring fights, this makes good sense...he is usually leaping around and looking agile, he looked really sluggish....either way im not happy about his attitude or his performance.
Fact, Jake, while not very exciting took Heath down, passed his gaurd, controled the pace, controled the fight, cut him, and owned the guy in the cage
Also fact, Heath was hand selected to come in and own Jake and shake up the Hwt division
fact, jake much less MMA experience
You do represent Obrien don't you?
NameCaller - me?
No, I do not really represent anyone, not in the fight game - just a fan of the sport
