Do NOT fight in the U.S.
Unless you finish your opponent, you will NOT win a decision.
30-27 Healey over Hiota was disgusting.
Thank god the Korean Zombie finishes his opponents.
And even HE got screwed here.
Its such bullshit.
No one else is sick of this shit?
aight.Screw you guys...
It pisses me off too. Even some of the wins that Japanese/Koreans pick-up, you have at least one judge that tries to fuck them.
I thought Hirota won that fight clear as day judges hate asians
Controversial decisions for Japanese/Korean fighters off the top of my head:
Omigawa vs Elkins - both fighters paid a win bonus
Fukuda vs Ring - both fighter paid a win bonus
Mizugaki vs Cariaso - fight was in Japan but had North American judges, both fighter paid a win bonus
Korean Zombie vs Garcia I
Hirota vs Healy
Okami vs Munoz - Split-decision victory for Okami, clear cut victory for Okami who defended every takedown by Munoz and out-struck him but one judge almost fucked him with a 29-28 round
Misaki vs Daley - Split-decision victory for Misaki, Daley didn't do anything offensive for most of the fight other than open a bad cut from an elbow while on his back, yet one judge almost fucked Misaki with a 29-28 round
^^^ Edit - "with a 29-28 scorecard for Munoz" and "with a 29-28 scorecard for Daley"
Honestly you could have given the fight to Healy 29-28, but 30-27 was shameful. Healy did nothing to win the first round. It was a clear round.
I thought you would have said "stop getting ko'ed" but what ever!
Haven't seen the fight yet but it has been a problem in the past for sure.
unfortunately the JMMA scene has crumbled. Where else can they go? Here's hoping the Southeast Asia and China MMA scenes take off.
Dude it goes back to Uno/Fisher, Gono/Hardy. Phan in TUF and Phan/Garcia.
The list of close fights that Asians win would be a lot shorter. Stun Gun possibly got a gift and maybe Akiyama once.
and im sure some one will point out that Munoz is asian, but the judges probably think he's hispanic (despite his nickname)
MdGeist - Controversial decisions for Japanese/Korean fighters off the top of my head:
i was sad that Hirota didn't get the win, it sucks that judges don't know what they are watching
Lol they care, but they care more about showing fighting spirit than points or notches on their resume
Guys it's the same in every country especially in Japan where Americans get majorly screwed over in almost every fight that goes to decision and it also doesn't help that most judges are terrible and I know are being paid off in certain circumstances
Can you really count Nam Phan in this? Dude was born and raised in California.
I don't think Garcia's decision wins were a result of some sort of nationalism or racism, I think they were cases of judges over-valuing wild aggression.
Also counting Genki/Bang is dubious, that was the result of a shitty rule that was immediately changed afterwards.
Does seem they get the short end of the stick the majority of the time. Made a thread about the Hirota Healy scrap and i had it 29-28 Hirota with a questionable stand-up in the first. He dictated where the fight took place and pretty much managed the fight.
huggy bear - Guys it's the same in every country especially in Japan where Americans get majorly screwed over in almost every fight that goes to decision and it also doesn't help that most judges are terrible and I know are being paid off in certain circumstances
Some examples?
So the shitty rule was racist against Asians? Somehow they knew Asian fighters would get screwed by it when they made that rule?
Just fuck off with your belligerent trolling.
