Zuffa should make a live score for fans into the PPV events, to vote ppl would have to go to UFC.com, and score the rounds who won by their opinion for each round, this "score" would be shown on PPV even during the next round with percentage or just who is more favorable to win the round that we just saw, it doesnt have to be shown for the judges but for PPV viewers only.. You would also get a lot more hits to your site when the ppl home are voting during all the fights.
That would be pretty cool. It could be by text to like with other sports polls during games. The best part would come when the announcement in the cage completely contradicts what x-million fans voted.
Monsters Ball - Good idea Dzeipii!
yeah I thought so too, I just hope it caughts DW's eye.
grachuss - Not a bad idea. You would have to make it simple like "Who won the last round?" Having people score the on the 10 point system would be to far out of people's intelligence range.
Thats what I meant, just ignore the 10-8 or 10-10 elements, ofcourse the fanbase could make a case for the fights but all in all, it would make it more interesting, its obvious that the consensus of ppl is going to change by the fact what they read in the forums, and many ppl take sides even when they havent seen the fights, they have just read 50 threads in other forums reading what others have said.
plus you could charge a dollar per vote!
I thought it would be nice to have the fans vote who fights who next. It would keep Tito vs Chuck III from happening, but this is a bad ass idea!
They used to do this.
Can't remember why they stopped.

too good of an idea.
probably won't ever happen.
UFC used to have online scoring before, but the OP have the better idea
hackcocked
Actually, I'm not sure it would work. A lot of people (casual fans especially) would probably just vote for their favorite fighter, even if he clearly lost. I mean, granted, the votes wouldn't mean anything officially, but it would be another shit-stirring-excuse-maker for decisions.

Dana should also bring back Eddie Bravo's between round scoring.
r0llinz - SO you expect people to rush to their computer and vote inbetween rounds then run back to the tv? Browse the UFC site (which has a terrible format for iphone/blackberry browsers) and try and vote this way? Do you expect one guy to rush to his pc when he has friends over to watch the ppv and say "hey guys gotta go vote who won that round! BRB!!"
Whats to stop the fanatic groups of fans to totally lopsided round 10-1 and make the scores look retarded live on ppv? Sure the UFC could moderate it, but that is more work hours and more money zuffa need to shell out for staff to look after it.
UFC is a business to make money shelling out the bare minimum in costs. They don't care about fans and cool features, you get what your given or told to gtfo.
Just like it was mentioned above, it should be only for who won, not scoring.. and if the scoring page is open, it takes matter of seconds to submit who you did won.
Cool idea, ignore R0llinz and his douche bag posts. You could always do a text system aswell with text a for Shogun winning the round and b for Machida and so forth.
donnybrook - That would be pretty cool. It could be by text to like with other sports polls during games. The best part would come when the announcement in the cage completely contradicts what x-million fans voted. This is exactly why he'd never go for it. It wouldn't look good if the judges repeatedly contradict what the polls report, which is bound to happen.
grachuss - Not a bad idea. You would have to make it simple like "Who won the last round?" Having people score the on the 10 point system would be to far out of people's intelligence range.
Meh.
if Cecil can do it...
The UFC used to use a text who you think will win option. They could do the same with who won.
