I did on the one I traded in for the new one I’m wearing today.
It wouldn’t wind all the way down in a day, but I got myself in the habit of winding it when it went on.
I fully wound this one this morning. I’ll let it go, and see how long it takes.

I have a Breitling I have to wind. Never again.
Thank you.
I love it. It reminds me of the hard work put in to afford it, and the discipline to save for it. I can’t help but smile when I look at them.

The watch you save for has a way of putting a big smile on your face when you put it on.
Did you get a watch winder box for it?

It looks great. Congrats. Edited to say, love going for a true classic like a speedy. Enjoy.

Did you specifically request the strap with the Dodge ball texture?
I changed it out for a classic “Tropic” strap which was popularized on dive watches in the 1970’s and 80’s.
For those wanting to know, I got about 17.5hrs from first winding it.

Does anyone have a sailcloth band? They look good online
On the Speedmaster? It went from full wind to dead in 17.5 hours?

Yeah, that doesn’t seem right. Omega says power reserve should be 44-60 hours depending on the vintage.

I mustve been half asleep when I looked at it this morning, just checked it before leaving the house. It’s still ticking.
On the other hand, I’ve not touched this one since I got it last week.
