Highest finish percentage for retired mma fighters

Who has had a full mma career, and has had the highest "finish percentage"?

I also request whoever you nominate to clarify are you going by finish percentage of total fights or wins.

In his 21 wins, Chris Brennan finished 20, 19 by submission.  That's 95% of his wins via finish.

Carlos Condit(if he's not retired he should be)

of his 30 wins, he finished TWENTY EIGHT(28), 15 BY (t)ko and 13 by submission, pretty well rounded

93% finish

Of Igor Vovchanchyns 55 wins, he finished 46 which is 84%. 39 by knockout and 7 via submission

Of Mirko's 38 wins, 34 were by finish.  90% finish ratio and 30 by ko and 4 by submission

Kazushi Sakuraba has finished 88% of his wins.

26 wins, 19 submissions and 4 ko's.

100% of Ronda Rousey's fights - both wins and losses - ended in finishes.

Ronda is a good mention. 12 wins 9 via submission 3 via (t)ko 100% finish ratio

Although with 14 total fights, it's kind of hard to put Ronda on this list.

I think you should have a 20-25 career fights minimum.

shogun has a high one

Well, then, when Shannon Ritch (48 years young!) decides to hang 'em up, he'll be more to your liking: If he hadn't won 2 fights by DQ, he would have a perfect 100% finishing rate for both his wins and losses.

57 wins (10KO, 45 sub, 2 DQ)

85 losses 38KO, 47 sub)

142 pro fights without a decision.

Never left it in the hands of the judges (and I'd bet he'll continue that way until he retires).

Who in thus guys corner?

"Alright Ritch, head movement! This guy is trying to KO you! I don't want to see you get KOd for the 39th time! I won't corner you past 40KO losses. Now get out there and remember, HEAD MOVEMENT!"

Fuck Yeah!

Now THAT is a contribution to this thread lol

Those are some serious ass #'s man.  Even when you factor in the level of opponents, 55 of 57 wins being finished is absolutely crazy.  WOW

Shane Carwin - 12 wins - 7 (T)KOs - 5 submissions (1 submission to strikes)

Even more serious: He's only gone to a 2nd round in 8 fights, and he's never gone to the 3rd round. (He was 4-4 in the eight fights.)

He had a streak of 45 fights that ended in the first round.

That's wild.  After you posted his stats it got me thinking, who do I respect more Ronda Rousey or Shannon Ritch?

On one hand Ronda's competion in wmma during her time, was not deep at all.  She only had 14 fights her entire career.  She got to the top, but did so at the perfect time in a very new/weak division.

Ritch however, never got close to the top like Ronda did, but Ritch has fought a who's who of mma, and did so for decades, and I believe in multiple weight classes as well.

I have nothing to contribute to this topic, but I wanna say it's fucking dope.

Thanks!

I just made another topic "who do you respect more" and it's opinion based so it's impossible to have a wrong answer :)

Check that one out as I feel that thread will have more wheels than this one.(and reply to it too)
