Which sports best athletes would do better if fully trained in high level MMA?
NFL players? On average much stronger, among other advantages.
Or NBA players? On average natural giants w/height,reach advantages.
Which sport could produce a higher amount of champs?
NBA. End thread.
I think NFL players. A bunch of 6'8 guys would probabaly get mauled by wrestlers I would imagine. and most of them are very thin

They're not thin. It's hard to look thick when you're that tall, but they have some pretty serious muscle mass.
There are also guys in the NHL who can fight.
Lebron
NFL, hands down. Transitioning from basketball, an extremely limited contact sport, to mma would be like a 180 for them. There are a lot of athletic basketball players, but football players have the athleticism and have proven their bodies can take a beating.

I definitely wouldn't want to be hit by Lucic.
If Ray Lewis would have dedicated his life to MMA and not football he wouldnt be the greatest MLB of all time but he would be HW champ.
Ray Lewis did win the State Wrestling Championship his senior year, here is a vid of him losing in the title match his jr year. Good match.

NBA.
NFL players have shit cardio.
Brock, Mitrione, Schaub were technically all pro football players. Who in the UFC played basketball professionally?
GarlicSauce - NBA.

You have never played football...
Fat white guys. NFL players can't last a round with them.
NFL players would be better than NBA. NFL players are larger and they take many hits on the field.
The best would be NHL players. They routinely fight and take so many hits on ice, nobody else is tougher.
Rugby players are tough SOB's
Larry Appleton - Rugby players are tough SOB's
They'd kill any NFL teams

guys that are 6'10 walking around at 215 like Durant? or Nerlens Noel at 7'0 206? Example: Stefan Struve. I do see your point though with some of them such as Lebron, Artest(fuck calling him metta world peace), Blake Griffin, Andre Iggy, etc.
Motocross riders - endurance is through the roof and we can take a hit or two
sorry if its not quite on topic. I do like to see guys from other sports pick up professional MMA and compare backgrounds and how it influences styles.
to your original arguement Id say NBA due to intense cardio and endurance as well.
just because NFL players would be tough, a good NBA player could have more attributes to create a better base MMA fighter
