My original article was not completely accurate as I had stated that the staff was likely on it's way out and that was wrong. However it did state that Jesse Finney would be the new owner and that has been made official today by representatives from the HIT Squad. (Updated article)

Today representatives from H.I.T. Squad, one of the most recognized and respected mixed martial arts training facilities in the industry, announced that they are under new ownership. The Granite City, Illinois MMA training facility is now officially known as “Finney’s HIT Squad.” According to gym representatives, Jesse Finney now owns the facility. Finney also owns Finney’s MMA; another St. Louis based mixed martial arts gym known for producing top-level contenders. The two gyms combined will be a serious spot for fighters to train in the midwest. Interesting to note how many fighters are now under that stable.
