HK Compact .40

Looking to buy one. Anyone have any experience with them? Basically I would carry this instead of a Glock 22. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on one? I've been checking fun broker and armslist.com Phone Post 3.0

I just traded mine for a Sig Scorpion 1911.
I had it for years and loved it. It just really bugs me that the rail is proprietary, and you can't find aftermarket mags.
Other than that, the gun is flawless in my opinion. Phone Post 3.0

I've got an HK Compact 9mm and an HK compact .45.

LOVE the HK's. Damn reliable, they are the cadillac of handguns.

Pretty much this. Phone Post 3.0

Carried the HK USP Compact .40 for about 5 yrs on the job. Great gun and after I retired it I put it into my gun locker and still break it out to shoot every now and then. I think it is a great CCW.

I want an HK P30 pretty bad. It fits my big bear paw of a hand perfectly. Phone Post 3.0

Sounds like I'm making the right choice then. What would be a steal of a price on an excellent used one? Kim trying to find one for around $600. Phone Post 3.0

That's a good price if you can find one. I bought an excellent full sized 45 in OD green a while back for $550. Phone Post 3.0

They've held their value exceptionally well over the years. Hard to come across one for much less than what they actually retailed for. Phone Post 3.0

how do you like the scorpion? I have a sig p229 and am looking for a smaller gun to conceal like a sig 224 or 239 Phone Post 3.0

I love the Scorpion. I can't comment on Sigs in general though. I have honestly never been compelled to buy one. I know they gave a fantastic reputation and die hard fans, but they never appealed to me.

As far as 1911's go, the Scorpion is an excellent one for its price. It's no Ed Brown or Wilson Combat, but it retails for half of what most of those bring. Phone Post 3.0

Care to offer up more than that and explain why? Phone Post 3.0

I've had a USP .40 for about 10 years or so. One of my favorite guns to shoot. They can be pricey, but I do love it.
