I hope max has tightened his grappling up. This ain't Conor or Porier. I like Max. One of my favorites as is Ortega. But Tcity is on some next level shit when he gets his hands on you. Like, you think you've got your shit together until he grabs you. Much like Khabibs control but in a much more lethal way. If he was a WW he could not perform at the level he has at FW.
WW’s can’t make 45 and beat Aldo the next day, none of the WWs on the UFC’s roster could do that.

Doesn't mean all that much in mma. Higher level blackbelts than Ortega, have been submitted by lesser belts, in mma. Wagnney Fabiano, who is a super hugh level blackbelt, was submitted by Mackens Semerzier, who I'm pretty sure was a bluebelt. It wasn't even anything crazy, or after a prolonged beating. Neither guy was really beat up, and Mackens used a classic bjj set up, and got the triangle choke from guard.

I mean, Pettis kicked at his body, but he definitely didn't ever double over like he was gonna go down, or even show really any sign of being hurt to the body. I think he might have reacted with a small wince, at like the 3rd one. Really it looked like he blocked them, but I think they stung.
