Holloway vs Masvidal at 155

Who you got?

They fight in different weight classes

Masvidal and it would be easy work

I'm finding it hard to decide tbh.

Both have outstanding boxing and solid kicks. I'd say Holloways overall striking game is better though considering how he stops elite fighters with body shots and always controls the distance.

Both guys are 5'11 but Masvidal has a 4 inch reach advantage. I don't think there would be a huge size difference at 155 tbh. Holloway is still growing and probably should be fighting there anyways. Masvidal spent the majority of his career there and is an undersized WW for sure.

Talent wise, they're both there. I think it comes down to who is slicker with their shit and who has the most ways of finishing.

On those two factors, I'm leaning towards Holloway.

If Masvidal was to go back to 155, I'd rather he fight Tony Ferguson.

What is so hard about putting a question mark at the end of a title if a fight isn't actually happening or confirmed?

I've got Max via speed and pace

Brother rabbitte - Masvidal and it would be easy work
All day

I love Max but Jorge is just too big and powerful for him.  Max's quickness would make it competitive, but eventually Jorge would start connecting and Max would be in trouble.

I think Maz would fill out nicely at 155, just like Jorge. I don't see size being a big deal

Max would get mauled

This isn't a fair thread because the audience is the simple minded UG.

Since Jorge won more recently and smashed a very popular fighter, the UG will pick him against any fighter to ever live.

Just go back a couple months when Ferguson beat RDA, the UG unanimously decided that Tony could beat Khabib by anything he wants.  A week later Khabib beats MJ as expected and everyone says Khabib would win so easily the fight shouldn't be sanctioned.

The only fair way for the UG to predict a fight is if both guys are coming off a loss.

Some of my favorite UG threads are the press conference threads after the pre fight press conference for Diaz vs Conor 2 when every talked about what a mental midget Conor is and how he's two fights away from being cut.  A week later everyone is talking about Conor being the Goat and Nate is overrated.

Cowboy was murdering Masvidal's left leg, likely his game plan, then thought he'd take chances both by hands and letting off the gas(lack of fierce movement).
Jorge was getting hurt more than he let on as a veteran gamebred does.
Holloway is lighter(faster) tactically unweathered, and unreliant on toughness.
In a five round fight he'd pepper Jorge's legs and pull out a decision on most days.
In a 3 round fight, I see Jorge mauling for the clinch and controlling most of the three rounds.
In five rounders he's been over confident in his pointing ability and ended up on the wrong end of decisions.

All I can say for sure is that Holloway ain't knocking him out.
