Hollywood stars-end capitalism now!

You know, I've noticed a few younger generation kids talk bad about Capitalism like it is evil. It seems to be a much more prevalent thought with younger kids these days.

I think the leftist nutbags are making a dent in the education system and leaving this impression on these people. Also social media has been taken over by the most outspoken libs and influencing the younger generation.

“Making a dent...”!?

So celebrities will stop endorsing shit and getting paid for it?   Great, let’s start there.   Kill endorsements and influencer funding.

I support passing a 99% tax on acting income

In before Orcus shows up to debate

Trump is literally Hitler.

None of this would have happened if Hillary got her turn as POTUS!

Tell them to give up their wealth first.

But without all of their wealth, how will they get their point across from their ivory towers?

It is really outlandishly crazy that super millionaires from entertainment can spew off such bullshit. Unless they act, and suddenly Madonna now lives in a small NY bungalow or something. Otherwise, I basically see ZERO good press for that one. They are so disconnected. THEY can live like royalty while the rest of the peons have to remain humble.

end hollywood now

When these assholes give up their fortunes in the name of income equality and they start making minimum wage for their movies and music will I believe them.

This is like Michael Moore making his “Capitalism Bad.” from one of his 9 Mansions.

Any time I find myself on the opposite side of an issue from that collection of asshats I feel good.

People love to complain about CEO pay vs. the average worker.  What's the headline star making in a blockbuster vs. the lowest paid dude on a movie set?  Why doesn't everyone who works on the movie get participation rights like the big stars?

Multimillionaire celebrities have signed a petition calling for an end to capitalism from the comfort of their luxury mansions.

The petition, called ‘Please, let’s not go back to normal’, says the COVID-19 pandemic is a “tragedy,” but that the “ongoing ecological catastrophe is a meta-crisis.”

“The pursuit of consumerism and an obsession with productivity have led us to deny the value of life itself: that of plants, that of animals, and that of a great number of human beings,” states the letter. “Pollution, climate change, and the destruction of our remaining natural zones has brought the world to a breaking point.”

The petition urges world leaders to not allow everyone to “go back to normal” after the coronavirus pandemic is over.

Signatories include Madonna, Robert de Niro, Cate Blanchett, Jane Fonda, Marion Cotillard and Monica Bellucci.

This is yet another example of the sheer disdain these celebrities have for ordinary, working aspirational people.

When they talk of ‘ending consumerism’ – they’re not talking about people not watching their movies or buying their music (God forbid), they’re talking about a reduction in everyone else’s living standards while they, the celebrity elite, continue to live like royalty.

While they dance and their giant kitchens and virtue signal about how “we’re all in this together” during the lockdown, people in the real world are losing their businesses and jobs.

They want to create a vertical economy of princes and paupers where no one outside of their bubble is allowed to elevate themselves.

Meanwhile, once the lockdown is over, they’ll continue to travel the world in private jets and buy expensive beachfront property while lecturing you about the necessity of eating bugs to save the planet.

This is what it's always been about.  Hollywood is nothing but a propaganda outlet for the chicoms.  The whores/celebrities who tote water for these assholes are nothing but bootlickers.

Those of us who were talking about this years ago were called "far right conspiracy theorists" and "racist right wingers."

Hollywood needs to burn to the ground, now more than ever.

A little unfair of OP to make it sound like this is strictly just a bunch of hollywood celebrities that created a petition on change.org or something, with a stated goal of ending capitalism.

It wasn't a petition, it was an open letter, co-written by astrophysicist Aurélien Barrau and oscar winner Binoche that was published in the French daily Le Monde newspaper pleading for an end to unbridled consumerism and a "radical transformation" of economies to help save the planet. In addition to a handful of actors, it was also signed by nobel laureates for medicine, chemistry and physics as well as peace prize winner Muhammad Yunus.

Doesn’t change a thing.  All of those people who signed it wouldn’t be shit without capitalism.

Aren’t you all tired of clickbait bullshit yet?

That's nice. Again, nowhere in the letter does it state that they want an end to capitalism.
