Former champion Ronda Rousey received a lot of criticism following her loss at UFC 193, and according to the woman that beat her, it was her own fault:

The new UFC women's bantamweight champion said she does not agree with much of the venom Rousey has received. But she also understands the origin.
"I don't think that anybody deserves that," Holm told Ariel Helwani on Monday's edition of The MMA Hour. "I do think that she put herself in that position. She's even said herself that if people don't like her style, then she doesn't care. That's who she is and she doesn't claim to be anybody else. I don't have any animosity towards her. A lot of people feel like maybe I should, but I just don't waste energy with stuff like that."
Its true. When Anderson lost he took a lot of shit for clowning, but guys like Barao and Aldo didnt have their character questioned and celebrities trashing them on social media
Article could easily have been titled "Holm doesn't thinks Rousey/anyone deserves criticism" but I guess that doesn't get the clicks. UG gonna tmz this rematch all the way till fight night

Yeah, the UG "news" is at least consistent in being some clickbait garbage.
It's hard to take anything about the administration of this site seriously when this (and tons of shit like it) is what's being churned out under the "UG" flag.
ILoveWatchingJonesBoneShogun - How long is she going to live off Ronda's fame? Fight happened months ago, move on already. There's a good chance she won't even defend the belt once
The criticism has been mostly spot on from what I've seen.
I've read things like she's fat, she's angry, she's mean, she's a horrible sport, she's a bully, etc. I don't know that anyone can dispute those things. I've also heard her stand up was abysmal, she looked like a shell of herself, once seriously tested, she was smashed, she had her spirits crushed. Again, none of those things can be argued to be inaccurate. The criticism seems to be fair and accurate.

Yea this. UG news is making click bait headlines and despite criticism, doesn't seem to change. There will be an interview where Holly says 20 nice things, and they will pull out one quote, that when isolated, makes her sound like she's taking a stab at Rousey when she is not.
Don't like Holm at all. Holm will get hers, Ronda will return better faster and meaner. Ronda will destroy Holm, this I believe fully. Ronda is a different kind of Athlete, Ronda is coming and when she gets in the cage Holm is finished. Dislike Holm, she isn't my idea of a champion.
Ronda made her bed from saying all sorts of bad shit about fighters, celebrities and people in general. She deserves every bit of negative press she gets.

The only problem Holm has is she can't avoid the top fighters like she did in boxing. As long as Ronda returns she'll get her rematch and Holly will be crossing her fingers things go as perfectly for her as they did in Melbourne

Such a shame I'd already voted you up, and now I have to wait another 24 hours to get you another well deserved VU.
UFC president Dana White recently appeared on TSN’s ‘OTR' and said he was discontinuing pre- and post-fight media scrums, because websites were taking his words out of context and sensationalizing them.
“It got to the point where I would do these scrums with these media guys for an hour sometimes, sometimes more, and you’d get these websites who would go in and just take bits and pieces and take a lot of it out of context,” said White. “So, I just stopped doing it. What I’d rather do is I'd rather talk to credible media sources, do an interview and have the right story go out.”
The UG Blog is guilty of doing what White describes above.
The UG Blog title was White: Barao 'going home without a dime'
The UG Blog title implies that White's reply was harsh and even vindictive, perhaps intended to send a warning to other fighters about the severe consequences of failing to make weight. However, White was actually responding to a question that implied there was no accountability in the UFC for fighters who miss weight. Further, White's facial expression and words on the video indicated a degree of sympathy in a situation that was trying for everyone. White said clearly that not fighting and not getting paid was punishment enough, and the UG Blog title communicated none of that.
White's media scrums generated a truly great deal of compelling content. I have done a few things I regret in this sport. I could have had MMA.com for 200 bucks (I passed as all the cool kids called it NHB, and Disney beat me to NHB.com by three weeks). But there is nothing I regret now as much as UG Blog mischaracterizing White's words, and thus contributing to the demise of an awesome practice.
So apologies to all.
Still haven't learned the lesson here? If you cherry-pick the worst out-of-context comment as your news headline, the people you're writing about are going to stop talking
