Guess that guy didnt watch any footage because he seemed like he had no idea that knee was coming straight for his jaw.
Actually if you look at that one it was different than all the others.
I usually throw a right knee. That was a switch knee. Since he was a southpaw i thought he may shoot in on my left side, to my front leg.
In the back during warm ups, i told my friend Chris Camozzi that the switch knee would be there.
If I would have just thrown the right knee it wouldn't have landed. It may look like blind luck, but after stuffing a few shots i knew he wanted to take me down, and since he was a south paw, that he would fade to his right or my left when i left my feet.
its the same knee thiago alves hit matt hughes with. historically matt hughes likes to punch in orthodox stance but wrestle out of the southpaw stance. The switch knee is better for southpaws imo.
