Am I the only one who thought Red had a knee on the ground for at least 3 of those knees to the head?
the one where he squatted looked like he was down and the ref came over and i thought was going to stop it
I was pretty sure the first one he was downed, but it looked like he was regaining his feet for the second (hence why he was so off balance and fell backward). I don't recall any others that might have been illegal.

Those knees were so close. I wish they would have shown replays of the knees. I think at least 1 was illegal.

Hard to say, the second one looked ok, the first one he looked down but also the knee looked like it didn't catch Red in the head.
illegal knees, headbutts when he was in Reds guard, and holding the shorts...Alexander fights with no control, he may be exciting, but he is never gonna beat anyone with any kind of ground game and I have no desire to see him lose in the UFC anymore.

First knee was legal he hit Red in the chest.
Second one it's so close it could have been called illegal though. Red's knee was down when he threw it but when it landed it came up it looked like.
I'm really surprised that the ref nor either commentator said anything.
Upon rewatching the fight just now, I notice that the first one was indeed legal, as it hit Schafer in the body. But the 2nd one was CLEARLY a foul. And then when they stand up again, Red drives him to the cage, drops to his knee, and again Houston lands a CLEARLY illegal knee to the face.
I CHEERED....
Not because I was rooting for Houston but because knees to a grounded opponent is the shit. Eric almost paid for a sloppy shot.

I backed it up on the DVR and watched it in slo-mo. the second knee was clearly illegal, hell it put red on his back (well forced him to flop to his back I guess).
I was surprised it didn't even appear to warrant a warning. But again I despise that rule.
