wood. Problem is, I don’t have a saw, and don’t want to spend the money for one. But I have 5 raised gardens using their treated wood, that has a bluish-green tint. I want to have 6 to make it symmetrical. But I’ve tried pretty much every Home Depot in town and nope, all of a sudden they no longer cut treated wood. Lowes has had this policy for a long time, but apparently Home Depot just switched.
So, I don’t want to use untreated wood as-is, it won’t have that blue-green tint and will make the whole thing look weird. Any idea what I can treat it with to give it that same tint and protect the wood as well if possible? I think that stuff they use is copper something or other - maybe I can buy that separately? Don’t remember ever seeing it for sale.
Good luck of you can even find the anount if pt.wood you need. The chemical used in most pt wood is manufactured in china and as such the distribution and application of it has almost completely stopped.
Just in the last month the price of pt.eood has risen more then 20% across the board.
Man up and buy a damn circular saw would be my suggestion you rookie.
Go buy a saw. Get a hand saw if you want to be traditional. You don’t want to inhale the sawdust from treated wood, so use a mask (assuming you’ll have one).
While on the topic of wood treated with copper salts, quite a few gardeners won’t use treated wood for beds used to raise produce for food. Both copper and residual arsenic salts can be toxic. In reality, the amount you could be exposed to is small, but it is worth knowing.

You can get a throw away saw from Wal-Mart for $25 bucks. I bought one there when I didn’t think I needed a good one… still have it 15 years later and use the hell out of it.
