Honest question do you think women's division

Would suffer if Ronda wasn't the champ? Phone Post 3.0

I think it would suffer if the champ was a shovel fighter.

As long as the champ is kinda pretty it'll be fine. Phone Post 3.0

Well here's a follow up question too
If Ronda isn't the champ and isn't fighting for a title do you see a women's title fight ever headlining again? Phone Post 3.0

I have been very pleasantly surprised by the womens fights in the UFC.

Ronda is a finisher, meisha vs zingano was awesome fight, eye vs kaufaman was great.

I dont really remember a stinker fight except for the womens tuf finale fights.

I think it would suffer more if Ronda wasn't even in it. Even if she loses to Sara there is much to sell in a rematch and eventual rubber match. Ronda provided the perfect candidate to launch woman's fights onto the big stage because she showcases talent and a vicious finishing ability that smoothed the transition. Ronda could lose her next four in a row and get cut, but as long as more talented athletes and exciting finishes (see Zingano/Tate) move into the division it will do just fine.

UFC needs to sign Holm. She has the best chance at beating Rhonda and by brutal KO. She could be a star.

I have to agree.

Alot of the women's fights are highly entertaining. I don't think will see lots of KO's but have been impressed so far. I like them more then most of the men's 125lb fights.

Rousey brings that Lesnar vibe to her fights, you either hate her and want to watch her lose or love her and want to see her win.

She's smart and know's how to get people talking and know's how to sell fights. If they could ever get Cyborg to the UFC and get her to drop to 135 to fight Rousey, I think it would do huge PPV numbers.

But I think if they keep getting Rousey to headline PPV's, they need to get a pretty stacked card. She's not big enough to draw huge numbers by herself. This weekend will be a big test as its not the best card anymore especially having Evan's drop off the card so I am intererted to see what the number's are like.

It would suffer like the WW division does losing GSP, but it'd be fine. Tate, Kaufman, Zingano, Mcmann, Nunes and Eye are all very good fighters. Tate's had a tough start in the UFC and people seem to think she's not a good fighter, anyone who's followed her career knows just how good she is. I think Nunes will be the one to properly challenge Rousey, though Mcmann can't be counted out, she's a far stronger challenger than Zingano IMO Phone Post 3.0
