and the return of Vernon Forrest
Jermain is bad ass. Hopkins will try to out smart him though. Should be a great fight. I hope Jermain ko's hopkins.
Pulling for Hopkins here
WaltJ you are weird.
Bernard is gonna knock him out.
I am looking forward to this fight like none other
WaltJ, stop acting like a flamer. If you can't look at weigh-in pictures of boxers without thinking homosexual thoughts you might consider going to the homoground instead of the underground.
WaltJ, don't think that subtle racism can't get you banned. There are morals to uphold on this forum.
jermain by ko
Hopkins is my fav fighter, but Taylor scares me. Both guys seem pumped for the fight.
Anyway ^ Hopkins will pull this win off, gut feeling, Taylor doesn't have a back plan when things aren't going his way.
Hopkins been around along time in the middleweight divison, seen just about every boxing style that tried to takes his crown, 20 title defenses, the man is legend!
I'm picking Hopkins to win, but what makes you think this?: "Taylor doesn't have a back plan when things aren't going his way."
Look at Hopkins last fights Allen, De La Hoya, Eastman, the man doesn't have a flaw in his technique.
He should have tko'd Allen, his mind was on a future match up with DLH, huge payday.
De La Hoya, played with him for 8 rounds, Hopkins went in to 2nd gear with a body shot to end the fight.
Eastman, only had one weapon his right hand, Hopkins read him like a open book, shut him down to a easy UD.
However...
Allen isn't in the same league as any of those other guys (Hopkins, DLH, Eastman, Taylor).
DLH is great, but naturally smaller.
Eastman is good, but Hopkins didn't look as stellar in that fight as in his previous fights. Maybe age is finally catching up to him?
Taylor is younger, hungrier, and his bad ass jab could disrupt BHop. At Hopkins' age, you never know when he'll suddenly grow old (look what happened to RJJ).
If it was the Hopkins of the early part of the decade vs. the Taylor of today, I'd pick Hopkins without a doubt. Instead, I'm picking Hopkins, but I have doubt.
damn good fight
You think he'll try and stand with him?
"Also, Taylor's arms are disproportionately long for his body."
thats an extremely good thing to have when boxing.
The Clown is right, :)
lol Chris.......hows the fam?
