Hot Fighters that have gone Inactive..

Chris Holdsworth

OP is right. Dos santos is a fucking badass. Most underrated on the roster

Some guys just quit, Nick Denis springs to mind, had one of my favourite KOs, went back to his real job, didn't want the head trauma.

WTF happened to this guy? 8-0 undefeated. 5-0 in UFC. Only 29 years old right now. Last fought on UFC 173.. what happened? This is exactly the type of guy I'm talking about.

Last fight 2012 on UFC on Fox 3. Only 33 years old right now. 11-3. Left on a loss by submission. Lost to Roland Delorme. This one is a bit more understandable. He left on a loss, in only his 2nd UFC fight. Guy still had a great record and he's still young enough to plug back in. I don't know why these guys just disappeared though.

What year was the Reebok deal signed? Is that what caused this exodus? Maybe not enough money in the game to justify getting punched in the head for a living..

TJ was on a five fight win streak, KO's Gray Maynard, and we haven't heard of him since.. bring back TJ!

TJ got a knee in the head while rolling at practice and was severely concussed.

This was four years ago. Repeated attempts to start training again led to failure.

Last I heard he moved to Alberta to work in

a potash mine.

I doubt he ever comes back. Really shitty as he was the top contender and next in line for a shot.

Not true.

The UFC paid him stfu money to give his title shot to Anthony Pettis so they could sell more PPVs.

that could explain one event but it the probability of that happening is pretty low and

how do you account for all the years he has missed then?

I mean if we’re feeding into the possibility that he was bribed out of a title shot, it’s very possible for a man in that position to become disillusioned with the sport after realizing that the sport is bought and paid for, not actual sport. I remember thinking the same thing at the time… but I doubt that a guy that talented would have stayed away this long if that was the case. He’s not going to just disappear.

supposedly some issues potentially concussion related if I'm not mistaken

If I recall correctly he had a good job, law related I think.

I'd say it had a bit to do with some guys retiring, pay is very top heavy since.

I just don't get why you'd spend years on small shows trying to make it, then you finally get to the UFC and retire after a fight or two. At that point you're in too deep. Might as well ride it till the wheels fall off.

Maybe just getting to the UFC is the pinnacle to some guys. It might just be about being able to say you fought in the UFC, win lose or draw.  Still I wish some of these guys were still in it, or that some of these talents would jump into Bellator. That Holdsworth guy is one of the guys I'm talking about. He's still young enough to do it.

Interesting. Understandable. Law career is definitely more respectable in the eyes of society, plus you don't gotta get punched in the head, and the compensation is most likely higher than he was making in UFC only 2 fights in..

bas rutten and gsp retired as champs with a great win streak

GSP would have been a great example had he never come back. Thankfully he's back, and hopefully the layoff doesn't effect him too much. The game has gotten even more advanced imo, so we'll see what happens to a once great fighter. Bas Rutten I haven't watched any of his fights admittedly. Do you have any fights of his you suggest I go back and watch?

Never heard of him.

Go back and watch the Kevin Lee vs Leonardo Santos fight. Kevin Lee was a -600 favorite that night. Santos was a +450 dog.

I had Santos in that fight I remember it well

Supposedly Holdsworth has very bad head trauma.... Tam and faber say TJ kneed him in the back of the head after a grappling match between the two he lost, causing him to suffer concussions and ended his career.  Keep in mind faber didn't kick tj out after this alleged incident.

Holdsworth says tj didn't end his career and "lols" at the story on Twitter, urijah is also a huge piece of shit so Im guessing they just made up a story to fit with holdsworth already known affliction

I thought this was a female that fight in UFC but have not fought in a while thread!

Lol.. I had to read your post like 6 times to finally understand your message. At first I thought you were retarded or heavily concussed, but then I read my thread title and understood. Hot female fighters looks wise, that haven't fought in a while, despite being top talent are welcome to be discussed too! I can't think of any myself. I meant hot, as in hot prospects, but hey don't let that stop you from posting some hot fighter ass up in this thread bro..

Had me rolling at first because I thought we had a full on Wild each it that meets their naked type of thing going..

I actually interpreted it like Borat over there and thought you meant hot like sexy, but I'm also pretty baked right now.

ALthough not quite a “hot fighter,” Mickey Gall sure took the shine from his 2 easy names he got after he beat down an MMA journo for his debut. Then he vanished. He got a lot of notoriety from the last two fights but now he’s yesterday’s news already.
