How about Brandon Thatch vs Lim Hyun-Gyu?

Would be a very intresting fight.

Sounds good.

Thatcher imo Phone Post 3.0

They are both stars... too early.

Why does everyone want to match prospects so early let them work up the ladder and build as many contenders as possible Phone Post

I thought this fight would have gotten more support. What's wrong with people these days, you don't need to worry about the padding prospect records... Am i the only one who thinks this fight would be good?

Sorry if none of this makes sense, pretty wasted lol

Apparently MMA fans of today want to see prospects protected, records padded, mismatches galore as long as they get to see a finish.  And here I thought mma was different than boxing in looking to pad records.  If this is the future of this sport things will get much shittier.  Weak ass shit going on in this thread.

Don't be a simpleton. The two options aren't only matching promising contenders and padding records. Phone Post 3.0

This does not kill contenders.   This is the evolvement of the WW division as the best division in mma.  The UFC put a 21 year old Rory in with Condit in his 2nd UFC fight.  The UFC put Che Mills in with Rory when they were hoping Mills would be a monster.  People have to lose in a division this loaded with talent.  You either rise back up and get yourself back on track to resume contention like Rory after Condit, or you get cut a few losses later like Mills.  This is how we separate who is legit or not in the best division in MMA.

Gyu/Thatch would be a great battle of the new biggest weight cutters at WW and maybe in all of MMA.

i also like Gyu/Askren.  Askren can try and avenge his teammates brutal loss for his UFC debut.  Gyu is also more proven in the UFC.  Askren does not deserve top 5 yet.

And how long has it taken rory to get back into title contention? Ever wonder why it seems like most of the UFC title matches are rematches, guys out of their weight division or guys coming off losses? Phone Post 3.0

That Thatch.
