Since the only threads I've seen regarding the GSP/Penn fight have been to say that GSP is a cheater or that BJ broke his own rib, how about we start a positive one about how GSP is walking through top competition every time out now.
He really is getting exponentially better every time he fights. I can't imagine Alves having any chance with the exception of a lucky punch. GSP's defence and game plans are exceptional now.
What about that left superman jab (or whatever it was called, because I've never seen it used before)?
GSP had a beautiful performance. His combination of GNP and BJJ is incredible- punch, punch, pass, repeat. The double jab was lightning quick, incredibly powerful, and incredibly accurate. His game plan was as solid as his training and he executed it perfectly.
I agree 110% with every thing you stated.
GSP is showing awesome progressing in all aspects. He put on a dominating performance on saturday. As for Alves I think GSP would win but definately be a hard fought fight.
Incredible performance. GSP is the most "complete" mixed martial artist in the UFC.
It is pretty scary how dominant he's been over top competition.

LOL, the positivity didn't last long here.
Ooops! Someone must have gotten banned.
GSP did great.
lol this is a GSP appreciation thread Ken.
Why don't you mosey over to the OG... they love your type of mentality.
GSP was awesome. He mauled BJ like a bear on a picnic basket. My favorite part was when he stood up in BJ's guard and started throwing some serious punches like his hips weren't encumbered in the slightest - at that moment, he reminded me of Fedor.
Overall, I gave him 4 1/2 stars out of 5. My minor nits were:
1) I wish wrestling power didn't (apparently) come at the expense of punching power. A flat-out KO would not hurt his record or his legacy.
2) I wish, KO aside, he'd finished BJ with strikes or a submission. BJ's brother asking the doc to stop it was certainly definitive, but it doesn't give fans the same bang for the buck that a finish would have.
But it was still a stellar performance. Dude just doesn't stop improving.

It was a submission imo. Like Sak v Royce 1.
GSP is top notch right now. His wrestling and top game look to be virtually unstopapble.
The UG is up to it's eyeballs in BJ Penn worshippers there's no doubt about it.
I would love to see a rematch personally, but there is 0% of BJ ever taking that fight. Regardless of all the public complaints and excuses from his camp inside he knows he was completely dominated.
GSP is the best all around fighter in the sport today and he has not only his natural gifts but his incredible work ethic to thank for it.
Penn is amazingly talented but he trains like a surfer, not a fighter.
