this is a valid technique used by many if not most of the fighters, but one has to be careful not to drink too much Diet Mt. Dew, as the high caffeine content could lead to a positive test for amphetamines.

but if you drink lots of water right before test you will pass
2 things pre fight anderson had to cut weight becoming dehydrated, right before fight he couldnt have drank a shit pile of water or he woulda had to piss his guts out by round 2. Post fight he was dehydrated again because of the grueling battle
