How do I find old OLYMPICS footage ??

I know someone who competed in the olympics as a gymnast back in the 90's. Google wasn't much help,I couldn't find much more than a mention of the name the events competed in . I know there are TONS of events, but I'm pretty sure it's all televised right ?How do I go about searching for said Olympic video footage if I know their name, event competed in, and year ?Thanks !

Try googling who has the rights to the footage, or what network(s) had the Olympics on that year. Did you try Dailymotion, or another search engine?
