How do PPV percentages work?

Does anybody have any information on how Conor and Nate will get a piece of the PPV buys from UFC 202? It's reported that the estimated buys are exceeding 1.65 million, beating UFC 196 which was estimated at 1.6 million buys. With these massive numbers, and Conor's show being 3 million, and Nates being 2 million.. Any estimations on how much these two will take home all together?? Phone Post 3.0

I think Conor made anywhere from 18-20 million with everything.
Probably 12-15 in ppv points Phone Post 3.0

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but my understanding of PPV points is this. Obviously the numbers would be a little different for each fighter but they would get

1$ for the first 100k-300k
2$ for 300k-500k
3$ for >500k

I'm sure for someone like Conor who is smashing PPV sales, his numbers would be massive. Mix in the monster sponsor, back room whatever, I'm sure the number is absolutely insane. Phone Post 3.0

That's interesting. It would be insane if conor is pushing 18-19 million but would not be surprising. Considering 196 and 202 were close in buys.. What is Nate Diaz going to do with 20 plus million dollars!?! Phone Post 3.0

It's probably different for everyone.  Some guys get zero per buy till a certain number of buys are reached.

I wouldn't bet diaz made the same. Phone Post 3.0

Diaz definitely didn't make the same. But I reckon he made close. What's incredible is that Nate Diaz is a multi-millionaire lol. Phone Post 3.0

Those numbers are from a very long time ago when Couture was in court with the UFC. I would assume it has increased but nothing has been confirmed ever since so we have no idea. I think we can assume it is at least those figures.

I heard the bigger ppv number takes are close to $5 a buy Phone Post 3.0

To clarify, I wasn't trying to source exact numbers or ranges at all, it was just a general sense of the structure. I have absolutely no idea what brackets Conor or nate would have, but Rockefella is correct, the couture thing is where I learned that. Phone Post 3.0
