Brigham thats thru but why not Jardine who beat Forrest and recently the former UFC lhw champ Lidell. I would say he is more deserving then forrest.

I an not a huge of Arlovski, but I find it pretty comical (petty would be a more applicable word) that title shots in the UFC are awarded on the basis of Dana's like or dislike for certain fighters.
Just shows how thin the UFC's heavyweight division has become. I know the middleweight division takes a lot of grief, but I'm beginning to think heavyweight is the weakest.
HW should be the weakest division, how many 230 lb. guys are there in the world, who aren't just fat-asses?
It's a comment on the state of HW MMA as much as anything else. It was a good win against Gonzaga, if Gonz had won many would consider him the #1 contender.

It's not just HW, that's thing. All divisions have people getting title shots that don't make sense from a rankings point.
Sean Sherk earned title shot by beating Nick Diaz at a different weight class. Florian got title shot by beating Sam Stout,Kit Cope, and being on TV show.
Matt Serra won a title shot by winning a TV show.
Lutter won a TV show, Marquardt got a titleshot by beating Dean Lister.
Rampage won a shot by beating Eastman. Sure Rampage vs Lidell had history, but it had nothing to do with rankings. And now that title is on hold due to a television show.
Couture got HW shot by getting KO'ed at a lower weight class.
Regardless of how good or bad the fights were, not may make sense in terms of rankings.

No, he won a title shot due to his wins in Pride, including over Liddell. The Eastman fight was a way to intro him to fans unfamiliar with his career in Japan.
His big win streak in PRIDE was victories over an undersized Hirotaka Yokoi and an undersized Dong Sik Yoon. He followed that up with a controversial split decision victory over Lindland. Not really title shot worthy.

I was finally over titles altogethor in the UFC when they handed Randy a shot for losing.
whistleblower does string good arguments togethor, which is why it's so frustrating that he thinks almost completely opposite to me :P
