The list of prominent MMA fighters that Eddie Bravo has trained includes Vinny Magalhaes, George Sotiropoulos, Matt Horwich, Nik Lentz, Duane Ludwig, Ronda Rousey, and Dan Hardy. Bravo, an advanced Jean-Jacques Machado black belt, creator of 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu, and successful musician, is a 21st century renaissance man. He has also been a frequent guest on good friend, Joe Rogan’s “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast (nearly 20 episodes), and now he has a successful podcast of his own. It has been a perfect forum for Bravo to have on guests and discuss his other, more obtuse, obsessions (cannabis, chemtrails, and government conspiracies), but he always makes sure to give us plenty of MMA and Jiu-Jitsu discussion as well.

In this Jack Brown audio interview, Bravo discusses the following and more:
On early experiences with martial arts: “[I] saw UFC 2 and decided to do Jiu-Jitsu” and “I saw Ken Shamrock’s instructional videos and started doing toeholds.”
On submitting Royler Gracie via triangle, back in 2003:
“It was fascinating finding out in Abu Dhabi that some of the stuff I had been working on ended up panning out.”
On how to defeat arch enemy, Renato Laranja:
“I don’t think I’ll ever be able to defeat him” and “there are a few that are douchebags and Renato is like all of them wrapped into one.”
On being a guest on the JRE podcast:
“I love just chopping it up with Joe.”
On how to manage having a child, while being an instructor and musician, owning and running businesses, doing podcasts, following chemtrails and other conspiracies 24/7, and still partying:
“The iPhone 5!”
