How far away are Martin Kampmann and Nick Diaz in the WW rankings?

I know Diaz is looking for a WW or MW titleshot right away but if that doesnt happen how BADASS would a fight between these two killers be?

I think the reason I like Kampmann so much is because style-wise, he is just like Diaz and much like Diaz, he doesnt fuck around in the Octagon; he goes for the finish.

What do you guys think?

Of course it would be awesome. I would really like to see a rematch with Diego someday too.

If Kampmann loses to Hendricks, I could see this being Nicks return fight. Or against Mike Swick should he defeat Matt Brown.

Kampmann vs Diaz would be an awesome fight. and I think we'd get the fight we was expecting against Condit. I don't think Diaz should start at the bottom an work his way up. Condit is currently the interim champ and he arguably lost to Diaz that night. I could see a fight against Kampmann, Swick, Ellenberger or Kos being his next fight. My top 5 are as follows ...

In terms of striking, they are kinda similar.. KINDA. Almost exclusively boxing, and a focus on accuracy rather than power shots. I haven't seen much to Kampmann's ground work, but I would expect Diaz to have a large advantage at that.

Both of these guys are in my top 10 favorite fighters in the whole damned sport, so i would love to see it!!

Diaz will probably fight the loser of Kampmann/Hendricks.

Or if Condit loses to GSP, they may have a rematch

Kampmann should be higher up, he is coming off finishes of Alves and Ellenberger, while Diaz is coming off a loss to Condit (whom Kampmann beat).

 kampmann vs diaz is a fight i have wanted for years.  such an incredible and even matchup.  crisp strikers who are nearly impossible to finish.  both guys bang and know no other way.  the ground game would be just as exciting as the standup.   no fuckin clue who takes it.
