So I go in there yesterday. I tell him I have a plastic hose that runs though a plastic wall. I tell him there is a slow leak around the hole. He said I needed some epoxy. I told him I used some epoxy and it didn't work. I asked him if there was not some insert I could use to put through hole, that itself has a hole, and that would lock in tight and stop the leak. Then I could run the hose through that. He said nothing like that exists. He asked what it was for, and I told him it was aquarium related. He told me he had several aquariums, including a 2,000 one that takes up an entire wall, and expoxy is what I needed. I told him that even though I used epoxy, when I move he hoses around, as I need to do from time to time, the epoxy comes lose. He said, and I quote, "Man, you must be using the wrong epoxy, because we got epoxy if we glued your hand to this pole you wouldn't be able to move it." I said OK and that I would check out the epoxys.
So I did a little research, and OF COURSE something that I described exists. Just like I was thinking of. Its called a BULKHEAD. How dumb does a guy what works in the plumbing department at Home Depot have to be not to know what a freaking bulkhead is?!?!
Clerk: "Here's some Epoxy......game changer"
He must read the OG and is jealous of your sweet aquarium set up and is trying to sabotage you.
i wish he would epoxy your hands to the pole so you would quit posting aquarium threads
What you described sounds like a grommet to me. Are you looking for a grommet?
A bulkhead is a wall.
What you need is a grommet
You should tells us how many red traffic lights you pulled up to today too. And maybe even every morning make a thread to let us know how you slept!
Why you gotta turn the og into your own personal facebook?
Before you ask why i clicked into this thread, the tittle gives the impression a video or story will be posted about some idiot at homedepot, not another one of your aquarium threads in disguise..
Yo Homeslice what’s for lunch?
I’m not sure if this has been mentioned but you need a grommet.
I don't see how a grommet would do the trick. It is a round thing. Put it next to the plastic, run the hose through it. But the plastic is still not perfectly round and tight. So leak continues unless I EPOXY the grommet to the plastic. Then I have to worry about THAT epoxy coming lose. Google "bulkhead aquarium" and you all will see clearly this is what I reallly need.

The fuck? You dummy, this thread IS about some dipshit at Home Depot. The underlying subject matter is irrelevant. The whole point was the guy is a total idiot. LOL think much?

He is the idiot and I have started going around Friendswood repopulating all the ponds with turtles.
Never_rolled - I Googled as you suggested and the first video while it calls it a bulkhead essentially acts as a high strength grommet.
Isn't a grommet a single piece you put on one side of the whole? A bulkhead is two pieces placed on both sides of the whole and tightened togetehr like a screw to stop leaking. I don't think a grommet does that.

You fucking muppet.
A bulkhead GROMMET IS a GROMMET.
Get this... they are grommets usually used with BULKHEADS.

Well if so I need a BULKHEAD grommet. Not any old grommet. Say I need a grommet is like saying I need "an item". Sorry, need more detail, not less you brainiac you lolololol....
