I'm a fan of Faber it just seems odd that a fighter who is 3-3 in his last 6 fights gets to be the co-main event on a major ppv event.

Why not put a fighter who's 3-3 in his last 6 fights in there? He's exciting to watch, talented as hell and will bring it every single time.
Dana put in a washedup professional boxer with ZERO MMA experience as a co-main event. Toney fought, lost and then got paid more than most champions make lol.
Faber is fighting at a new weight class and he already toppled the champ once, finished him in fact. Held one of the most dominant championship runs in Zuffa history. Plus, I can't think of a more charismatic figure in MMA, frankly. He has the 'it' factor.

I like Faber he's an exciting fighter and very talented.
I get the sense he's Randy Couture 2.0 though, getting title shots over and over even if he doesn't deserve them.
the WEC keep promoting him like crazy even though he lost to brown twice and got humiliated by aldo for 5 rounds; they just acted like it never happened. it's just going to carry over to the UFC until he gets beat by cruz or possibly eddie this weekend.
